Privacy Policy

This page explains what LMIA Check does with the information you enter.

What we collect

  • The answers you enter in the readiness checker: employer name, province, city, postal code, workforce numbers, job title, NOC code, wage, hours, recruitment details and document status.
  • Anonymous usage information: the pages visited, the referring page, and a random browser-local identifier used to group a single visit. This identifier is not linked to your name or email.

Why we store it

Your answers are stored so your readiness report can be generated, retrieved from its unique link and downloaded as a PDF. Usage information is stored so the site owner can see how many people use the tool and where they stop.

Report data and saved progress

Answers are saved each time you continue to the next step, so an incomplete questionnaire may still be stored. Reports are kept under a unique code. Report pages are excluded from search engines and are only reachable by someone holding the link.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your information.
  • We do not share your answers with the Government of Canada or any third party.
  • We do not use your answers to make an immigration decision about anyone.
  • We do not request or store worker passport numbers, dates of birth or immigration documents.

Retention

Readiness report data is retained for 24 months so you can return to your report, then deleted. Anonymous usage records are retained for 24 months.

Deletion requests

You can ask for your report and saved answers to be deleted at any time. Include your report code (for example LMIA-2026-A8F29Q) in the request and the associated record will be removed.

Cookies and tracking

LMIA Check does not use advertising cookies. A single random identifier is stored in your browser to group your visit; clearing your browser storage removes it.

Security

Data is stored in a managed database with access restricted to the application's server code. Reports are only retrievable with the unique report code.
